Origin Story
In 2023, we headed to Mendocino to explore the Redwood forests on our onewheels. Hunting down every mountain bike trail we could find, we couldn’t get enough. We kept coming back with more friends each time, eventually outgrowing our original glamping spot.
By 2025, it was clear this needed to be something bigger. We moved the gathering to the historic Mendocino Woodlands and Camp Shredwood was born.
Our Philosophy
Most Onewheel events are big festivals with a focus on racing and high stakes. We love that energy, but wanted to create its counterpart. Camp Shredwood is an unstructured retreat designed to bring the community back to the roots of trail riding, and do a sick bonk off those roots.
Our mission is to lower the temperature. While we appreciate the adrenaline of the racing circuit and the VESC vs FM banter, this event is built for the soul of the sport. We’ve traded the podiums and high speed crashes for a weekend where the only goal is to get everyone out on the loam together. No schedules, no pressure, just miles of beautiful wilderness and the people who love to ride in it.
What to Expect
- The Terrain: You’ll find world-class trails. Everything from flowy forest floors to steep gullies and exposed ridgelines.
- The Home Base: We stay in rustic cabins. It’s a cozy, communal atmosphere where the kitchen is the heart of the camp.
- The Connection: Expect a true "off-grid" getaway. With no Wi-Fi or cell service, it’s just you, your board, and the forest.
- The Community: This is a space for everyone, from seasoned trail vets to those looking to find their rhythm in the dirt. If you love to ride, you’re home.
